The
2010 Australian Open has ended. This was the 98th edition of the first Grand Slam event of the season. The Men's Singles Final has been won by the World No.1, Roger Federer.
Roger Federer and
Andy Murray clashed today for the Australian Open crown. The Final was mastered by Federer. He won't it in straight sets, 6-3,6-4,7-6, to deny Murray's Grand Slam hopes.
Day 14 has been the last one of the Australian Open 2010. We wait for you back, next year, for another two full weeks of high quality tennis.
Roger Federer, the World No. 1, is a multiple Grand Slam winner and certainly the most famous tennis player in activity. The Swiss Champion has won 16 Grand Slam events now, with 4 of them being achieved in Melbourne.
Andy Murray is probably in the best shape of his life. The Briton has reached his 2nd ever Grand Slam final. Andy has played his best Australian Open. It wasn't enough though to win his first Grand Slam title.
R. Federer vs A. Murray has certainly been a blockbuster Final. TV audience has reached all time records and the Rod Lave Arena was sold out, of course.
The next major tournament of the season is the 2010 Wimbledon Grand Slam.
